GG's edge spoons needed VERY thick fins to allow the edges to flow across the water without catching.
His formula was a 5.5 to 1 aspect ratio ... meaning a fin with a 5 inch wide base was almost 15/16" inch thick. Also, the thickest point of his fins was well forward, with a blunt leading edge. The back half of the foil was almost flat.
Hopefully, these edge boards are being ridden with the right fin.
