This is a refurbished, 7'10'' Chuck Dent Barry Kanaiaupuni Model. Some belly, and a hyper kicked nose...so probably 1969. My guess is Barry shaped this board. He lived in Huntington Beach that summer, working at Dent's factory.
I rode an 8'4'' version of this board in the early 70's, and liked it so much I bought it from the guy who loaned it to me. It was a very clean, straight forward riding board. Long lines off the bottom on larger waves. The fin was glassed on, and it was the right fin in the right location.
