I'm currently working on a video and this wave will not be included because my camera ran out of film mid-way through the ride. You can see how fast he catches up to the person who drops in. This footage was added to the end of Evolution after it had been out a while. As I recall, it replaced some footage of Lynch riding some small lefts at Haleiwa. Some damn good surfing for the transition era from Lynch. Everyone else, including Nat Young, look they were struggling..

Hi Paul,

Hope you’re well, I think I saw your new simmons was just about done with glassing, hope you’ve been able to get it in the water!

I picked up the new 8’6” from Spence last week. Waves have been good the last few weeks here, and I’ve been able to get it out every day since. It’s just what I was looking for — fast and responsive! It doesn’t bog down when the wave backs off over the deep spots in the reef, which is perfect for our summers when the sand’s gone. I’ve been running it with a 9” Nail and a 9” Stage IV “clone”, but haven’t settled which I prefer.
