    Ad from Surfer Magazine for Challenger Surfboards featuring Bobby "Challenger" Thomas, owner/shaper/designer for Challenger Surfboards. He called it the batten curve. The batten curve is a boat/ship builder term. Just google Challenger Surfboards ad photos. That should bring up some interesting reads.
